A Broadway Pop Opera Concert Club Experience
MY REVIEW for those who care (INCLUDES SPOILERS).... Madonna has reinvented the concert experience yet again! It was like nothing seen or done before, it’s a combination between a Broadway Pop Opera Concert Club Experience. The “Madame X” album all makes sense after seeing this show, as beforehand the album is at times a hard listen with many highs & lows. The plan it feels all along was it was a soundtrack to this theatre concert. The shows a trip, so much happening and so much to take in but at all times the focus is about the art & music. As you get absorbed into the new music she then hits you in the face with a classic hit that makes it all an emotional journey!! These include: Human Nature, Vogue, American Life, Like A Prayer but those lucky enough to witness it it’s an unexpected performance of “Frozen” that stole the entire show (for me anyway). A massive (I mean massive) floor to ceiling screen covers the stage and projected is this incredible black & white video of her stunning daughter Lordes doing a interpretive dance routine and Madonna appears faintly appearing behind it on stage, perfectly positioned singing live. It brings tears to your eyes and the crowd are stunned at how beautiful it all looks (mother & daughter). It’s a WOW moment as is the entire show! It’s like nothing done before, you can’t compare to any other tour done previously! The one main message from it all as stated at the beginning & end of the show on the big screen reads.... “Artists are here to disturb the peace”. Thank God I Say! She came on at 11am and finished at 1.30am. No phones allowed but here is a tiny snippet (don’t ask, don’t tell)....
